Stalker & Overexposed Emotions

Esto es de lo que hablo. Arte y moda, la perfecta combinación...

Stalker es la colaboración entre el fabuloso diseñador de moda Martin Margiela (quién está en boca de todos), el escultor francés Baptiste deBombourg, y los helados cristales de Atelier Swarovski.

Honestamente creo que las instalaciones de Baptiste son de lo más bellas. Admiro mucho a un artista cuando puede involucrar al espectador a ser parte de la obra. Aquí hay algunas fotos de su trabajo.

Para Margiela, ésta sería la primera vez que trabaja con los dos al mismo tiempo. Obviamente el resultado es una hermosa boutique/galería de arte.

Stalker is the first collaboration between the fabulous fashion designer Martin Margiela (the "it" designer), the french artist Baptiste deBombourg, and Atelier Swarovski's icy crystals. WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! Yum.

Honestly, I believe that Baptiste's installations are beyond beautiful. I do admire an artist who can make the spectator part of the artwork. Here you can take a glimpse of his projects.

This is Margiela's first collaboration with both of them. Obviously, the result is a beautiful boutique/art gallery.

Muchos van a decir: "El tipo está loco"... Si, yo creo que si. Pero la verdad nunca había visto algo parecido. Su nombre es David Cata. Español. Su obra Mi vida a flor de piel, consiste en cocerse en la mano los rostros de la gente que ha marcado su vida... Amigos, familia, profesores, etc.
Tampoco se alteren. Muchos jugábamos a "perforarnos" las yemas de los dedos con una aguja. Solamente que David lo llevó a otro nivel. 

Vean el video. Vale la pena.

Some may say: "Dude, he's mad"... Well, yeah, I think so too. Truth is that I've never seen something like this before. His name is David Cata. From Spain. Overexposed Emotions, is kind of a way to say "Thanks" to family, friends, teachers, etc. by interwoven their faces into his hand, just like they did in his life.
Don't be so surprised. Most of us used to "play" with needles in our fingers. It's just that Cata took it to a whole new level.

The video is totally worth watching.
